Delays & Closings

Weather and Closing Information

ICS follows Bellevue City School District procedures regarding inclement weather.

ICS families will receive an alert (email, voice message, text message) through the Parent Communication System within Option-C.  Please be sure that your family contact information is current.  Non-custodial/non-residential parents will be added to the Family Communication System at the request of the custodial parent/residential parent.

In addition, the following media stations will report delays and/or closing for Immaculate Conception School and Bellevue City Schools - - radio (99.1 FM or 92.1 FM); television (Channel 3, 5, 8, 11, 12 or 13).

Delays are typically two (2) hours.  Class for K-8 begins at 9:45 a.m.  Morning preschool class is cancelled in the event of a two-hour delay; however, preschool age childcare begins at 9:30 a.m.

Level 3 Snow Emergency Guidelines for the Diocese of Toledo

Whenever a county/city within the Diocese of Toledo is placed under a Level 3 Snow Emergency, during which all roadways are closed to non-emergency personnel, the Catholic Churches within that geographic region will cancel the scheduled Saturday Vigil, Sunday, or Holy Day Masses.  Roman Catholics in that region, therefore, are dispensed from the obligation to attend Mass.  If Masses are cancelled, Catholics are encouraged to participate in Holy Mass via television, radio, or internet, making a spiritual Communion.  When Mass is cancelled, all other diocesan, parish, or school events in that geographic region are also cancelled.
